Fly-In Trips

Welcome! We are NOTO members and we are located in Algoma Country.  After clearing customs in Sault Ste. Marie follow Highway 17 North to White River. The drive will take you along the northern shoreline of Lake Superior along some of Canada’s most breath-taking scenery. White River is approximately 190 miles north of Sault Ste. Marie. Arriving at White River, turn right on Highway 631 to White River Air approximately 5 miles. Then take a left on Tukanee Lake road to the airbase, where you will depart for your fly-in adventure!  For most of the trip you will be in the heart of moose country … keep your camera handy and use caution, especially during early morning and evening hours.

White River Air operates a DeHaviland Beaver that seats four people and four hundred pounds. They also operate a Turbo Otter which seats eight people and eight hundred pounds. Their aircraft are frequently inspected to ensure the utmost safety. The planes are equipped with a GPS and radio to maintain contact at all times with the air base. To give our customer’s peace of mind, White River Air employs only experienced bush pilots.

Bright coloured jig heads used in conjunction with bright mister twister tails (orange, yellow, white, chartreuse green) along with live bait (minnows, worms, leeches) are most effective for walleye. Any artificial lures such as dare devils and other spoons attract pike.

Each guest must bring with them a life jacket that is in good condition and is approved either in Canada or your state of origin.
